The Makeup Eraser – How Does It Work? Demonstrate for More Sales
♦ It’s true, just warm water and the MUE will remove all kinds of makeup. But, you can encourage more sales by demonstrating the cloth. Have a “Demonstration” cloth with your display that customers can touch and feel.
♦ How Does It Work Demo Tips: Always demonstrate on your inside wrist or upper fist. Create a line of lipstick, then eyeliner, then use mascara wand to “stamp” mascara on hand. Wet a section of the cloth and with gentle circular motion, remove makeup.
Then, flip over to the backside with tag to show an exfoliation soft enough to finish up with daily. Share that at home, customer would wring the cloth, hang up and use again the next night! (Remember: The MUE does not collect odor or bacteria. So, it can be reused several times before adding to the washing machine.)
♦ If you are incorporating the MUE into your pre-service treatment, ask your client which color MUE they would like to take home so they can continue the spa-like experience at home.
♦ Train your staff on how simple the MUE is to use and share testimonials with customers. If you have a front desk greeter, have them demonstrate the Makeup Eraser to clients while they wait.
Bonus: Create a bonus rewards for your staff. The more Makeup Erasers they sell, they will get a reward (free MUE, monetary bonus, etc).
♦ If your staff can’t demonstrate the MUE, include a lipstick, waterproof liquid eyeliner and mascara next to the demo cloth. Although the MUE works best with warm water, you could provide a water spray bottle so the client can try the cloth herself.
